You never want to underestimate the power of the live event. Whether you are brand new or a seasoned veteran in your industry when you get an opportunity to attend a live event you must go. The people you meet and the excitement that surrounds you is unlike anything you will ever experience in your career.
I just returned from my second live event and it was just as exciting as my first. In fact, I think it was probably better. Don’t get me wrong; the first one was phenomenal. It was held in Las Vegas and there were probably close to 5000 people there so, of course, there were lots going on and lots of excitement. This second one that I just returned from was a much smaller event and it was held in Orlando, Florida. There were only a few hundred people there. So because it was a much smaller crowd it was much more personal; so much easier to meet people and get to know them. You didn’t’ feel like you were struggling for someone’s attention or like you had to stand in line just to talk to someone. Yet the value of everything we learned was just so awesome!!.
The speakers were all 6-, 7- and even 8- figure earners and they were just real people; just like you and me. They sat at the same table with us for lunch and dinner. They answered whatever questions we had. They were just great people.
I currently have three mentors. I think I mentioned in an earlier post how important it is to have a mentor. You just can’t make it in this business without a mentor; which is why I have three. Well, I was thrilled to find that all three of my mentors were at this event so I was able to meet all three of them personally. It was very exciting.
So the point I am trying to make is just how important the Live Event is to your business and if you ever want to succeed in any kind of business that offers live events it would definitely be to your advantage to attend. Did I mention they can be lots of fun too. 🙂
